Our Story

Founded in 1983 by Norma Todd and a group of compassionate individuals, Lunch Break was born from a vision of a community where everyone is cared for and nourished in both body and soul. Initially focused on addressing hunger, Lunch Break has evolved into a vital resource for individuals and families facing financial insecurity in Monmouth County and beyond. With the support of over 2,000 dedicated volunteers and generous donors, Lunch Break now offers essential services including food, clothing, life skills training, and community fellowship.

Impact

In 2023, Lunch Break served an impressive 95,984 meals and provided housing assistance to 152 families, showcasing its unwavering commitment to alleviating hunger and supporting those in need.
