Lumina Hospice & Palliative Care, originally founded as Benton Hospice Service in 1980, is a community-based nonprofit dedicated to providing compassionate care and support for individuals, families, and caregivers facing serious illness or end of life. With a mission to promote dignity, respect choices, ease suffering, and honor the grieving process, Lumina has grown from an all-volunteer organization to a dedicated team of approximately 60 staff and over 100 volunteers.
Each year, Lumina provides in-home hospice and palliative care for over 400 patients and supports more than 1,500 community members through grief and caregiver support programs. The organization is committed to preserving the nonprofit difference in end-of-life care, ensuring that patients receive compassionate and skilled care during their most vulnerable times.
