Our Story
At Lucky Dog Animal Rescue, every animal deserves a second chance. This volunteer-powered 501(c)(3) nonprofit is dedicated to rescuing homeless and at-risk dogs and cats. With a foster-based program in the Washington, DC metro area, pets receive a safe and nurturing environment until they find their forever homes. Our unique rescue campus in South Carolina ensures that every animal receives the medical care they need before entering our foster program.
Impact
Since 2009, Lucky Dog Animal Rescue has saved over 29,000 lives, adopting out approximately 2,500 animals each year.
