Our Story

The Lucketts Volunteer Fire Company was established in 1960, beginning with a single fire truck and a two-bay firehouse. Recognizing the need for local fire protection, community members banded together to purchase a fire truck, which was initially housed on a local farm. Dispatching calls were made from the chief's home, showcasing the community's commitment to safety. Over the years, fundraising events such as turkey dinners, dances, and auctions helped grow the department. In 2021, the Lucketts Station 10 relocated to a new, state-of-the-art facility at 42429 Lucketts Road, enhancing its capabilities to serve the community.

Impact

The Lucketts Volunteer Fire Company plays a crucial role in the Loudoun County Combined Fire and Rescue System, responding to emergencies and ensuring community safety. Volunteer firefighters save an estimated $150 billion annually across the nation, making their contributions invaluable.
