Our Story

In the early 1970s, Mr. E. J. Spence and his family band sought a wholesome venue for performances, leading to a partnership with the Lucketts Civic Association. This collaboration birthed the Lucketts Bluegrass concert series in January 1974, now recognized as the longest-running scheduled bluegrass concert series in the world. Established in 2007, the Lucketts Bluegrass Foundation manages this thriving program with the help of dedicated volunteers.

Impact

The Lucketts Bluegrass concert series has hosted hundreds of performances from local, regional, and national bands, significantly contributing to the preservation and promotion of bluegrass music as a cultural art form.
