Our Story

Established in 1933, Lucas Metropolitan Housing is dedicated to providing affordable housing solutions for adults, seniors, and children in Lucas County. Through Public Housing, Housing Choice Voucher, Mixed-Income, and Market-Rate housing units, LMH ensures that vulnerable populations have access to safe and stable living environments. The organization also offers a variety of programs aimed at enhancing the quality of life for residents, including the Family Self-Sufficiency Program and employment training through Workforce Development.

Our Impact

LMH has been recognized for its effectiveness in serving the community, achieving High Performance Status since 2016 for its Housing Choice Voucher Program.
