Empowering Young Women and Gender-Expansive Youth
Since 1996, the Lower Eastside Girls Club has been a beacon of hope for young women and gender-expansive youth of color in New York City. By providing free, year-round programming, the organization connects youth with their passions, celebrates their curiosity, and channels their creative energy. In 2022, the mission expanded with the launch of the Center for Wellbeing and Happiness, offering comprehensive wellness services for all generations and genders on the Lower East Side.
Making a Lasting Impact
Every year, hundreds of youth aged 10–23 visit the Center for Community, engaging in after-school, weekend, and summer programs focused on STEM, Arts, Digital Media, Sound, Wellness, Civic Engagement, and Leadership.
