Our Story

Founded in 2005 by Lisa Klein, Loved Twice began as a heartfelt response to a call for baby clothing donations after Hurricane Katrina. Moved by the plight of newborns in need, Lisa rallied fellow mothers in the San Francisco Bay Area, collecting 200 pounds of baby clothes in just four days. This simple act of kindness sparked the creation of Loved Twice, a nonprofit dedicated to providing gently used baby clothing to underprivileged infants in California.

Impacting Lives

Each year, Loved Twice distributes a year’s worth of clothing to at-risk newborns, ensuring they have a warm and clean start in life. By partnering with local businesses, schools, and community groups, the organization collects over 800,000 essential garments annually. These garments are packed into 'wardrobes-in-a-box' and distributed free of charge to families living below 200% of the national poverty level, primarily single mothers and uninsured families.
