Our Story

Established in 2012, Love Thy Neighbor Community Food Pantry is a volunteer-operated, faith-based organization located in King George, Virginia. The pantry was created to offer nutritional basics and reassurance to those in need, with our first food pantry event held in December 2012. Love Thy Neighbor operates a shopper’s choice food pantry, free of charge, focusing on food and hygiene items for families facing hardships.

Serving over 300 families each week, Love Thy Neighbor provides a dignified shopping experience where patrons can select their own food items. This approach not only promotes self-esteem but also helps reduce waste, ensuring that families receive the support they need.
