Louisiana Reach Haiti

Our Story

The roots of Louisiana Reach Haiti began in the aftermath of the devastating earthquake that struck Haiti in 2010. Volunteers from Louisiana Baptists Disaster Relief were the first recovery team on the ground, providing essential aid through food distribution, medical clinics, and rebuilding efforts. Over the years, connections with the resilient Haitian people inspired the establishment of a nonprofit organization in 2017, founded by Dr. Wayne Sheppard, Ray Swift, James Gardner, and Darrin Badon.

Our Impact

As of 2023, Louisiana Reach Haiti has successfully reunified thirteen children with their families, providing ongoing support for education and healthcare to ensure their well-being.
