The Center for Literacy and Learning, founded in 1992 by Alice Peale Pierce Thomas, is dedicated to social justice and educational equity. With a mission to ensure that all children can succeed in school, the Center focuses on providing effective teaching strategies and supportive learning environments.

Since its inception, the Center has positively impacted over 50 educators and distributed 50 books, showcasing its commitment to enhancing literacy education. By partnering with schools and community organizations, the Center addresses the pressing challenges faced by struggling readers.
