Louisiana Advocates for Immigrants in Detention is a dedicated all-volunteer organization that provides essential support to immigrants in eight detention centers across Louisiana and one in Natchez, Mississippi. By offering transportation, meals, and overnight hosting, LA-AID ensures that released immigrants have a safe place to stay before reuniting with their families.
Since January 2021, LA-AID has positively impacted the lives of over 3,500 immigrants, providing crucial services that facilitate their transition back to their families.
