Our Story
The Los Angeles Police Memorial Foundation was founded in 1972 by Police Chief Tom Reddin and John J. McMahon to support LAPD officers and their families during critical times. Initially focused on funding funeral costs for officers killed in the line of duty, the Foundation has expanded its mission to assist all full-time, active, and permanent members of the LAPD and their families, embodying the spirit of the 'LAPD Family.'

Since its inception, the Foundation has provided over $20 million in funding, significantly aiding the LAPD Family through thousands of grants.
