About the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony

Founded in 1994 by Dr. Noreen Green, the Los Angeles Jewish Symphony (LAJS) has become a cornerstone of cultural enrichment in Southern California. With performances at prestigious venues such as the Walt Disney Concert Hall and UCLA’s Royce Hall, the LAJS brings the rich tapestry of Jewish music to life. The symphony hosts free family-oriented events, including KlezFest, a lively klezmer music and dance jam session, and a public concert that concludes its outreach education program, A Patchwork of Cultures: Exploring the Sephardic-Latino Connection. This program takes hundreds of Los Angeles County grade-school students on a thrilling musical journey of discovery each year.
