Our Story
Founded in 1998 in response to the social unrest following the Rodney King riots, the Los Angeles Community Garden Council has become a beacon of hope and resilience. With a dynamic network of 47 community gardens, it serves over 2,000 households, providing vital green spaces that foster community building, cultural expression, and access to fresh produce.
