Our Story

Founded in 1968 by Walter Bremond and the Los Angeles Black Congress, Brotherhood Crusade is a grassroots organization dedicated to uplifting low-income and disenfranchised individuals in South Los Angeles. Under the leadership of Charisse Bremond Weaver, the first female President and CEO, the organization has evolved to meet the community's needs, providing essential services to over 100,000 residents annually.

Our Impact

Brotherhood Crusade has significantly improved the lives of South Los Angeles residents through educational enrichment, health education, and financial literacy programs. Recognized for its effective community strategies, the organization received the 2012 National Criminal Justice Association Outstanding Juvenile Justice Program Award.
