Our Story

Founded on September 15, 2006, Los Amigos de Valles Caldera is dedicated to preserving the Valles Caldera National Preserve for future generations. Through outreach, education, and collaboration, this organization has initiated numerous ecological restoration projects, educational tours, and events that enhance the visitor experience.

Impact

Since its inception, Los Amigos has secured $1.561 million in grants, funding 11 ecological restoration projects. These efforts have revitalized wetlands, improved water quality, and created habitats for diverse wildlife.
