Looma Education is a dedicated non-profit organization focused on transforming the educational landscape for children in rural Nepal. Founded by David and Haydi Sowerwine, the organization has evolved from its roots in infrastructure development to a commitment to modern education through technology. With nearly 30 years of experience in Nepal, Looma Education was established in 2019 to ensure that every child has access to quality educational resources.
To date, Looma Education has positively impacted over 7,000 students across 70 village schools in Nepal. By deploying Looma Boxes and equipping 300 school computer labs with Looma Servers, the organization has significantly enhanced the learning experience. Additionally, over 150 teachers have been trained to effectively utilize this educational technology.
