Our Story
Founded in 2005, Lonoke County Safe Haven emerged from a community's commitment to support individuals affected by domestic abuse. By March 2007, the first shelter opened in Cabot, Arkansas, featuring 12 beds. The shelter expanded in 2008 to accommodate 16 beds, designed to feel like home with kitchens, playrooms, and welcoming living spaces. In 2019, the organization became a dual shelter, joining the Arkansas Coalition Against Sexual Assault, and in 2023, it took a stand against human trafficking. Through outreach efforts, protection services, and a thrift store, the mission is to offer hope and safety to individuals aged 18 and older, as well as families.
