Our Story
Established in 1972, Longmont Humane Society began as a branch of the Boulder County Humane Society and has since evolved into an independent nonprofit animal shelter. This sanctuary is committed to the welfare of every animal, ensuring that no animal is euthanized for space or behavior issues, except in extreme cases.
Impact
With over 98% of animals finding loving homes, Longmont Humane Society cares for more than 4,000 animals annually. The organization also performs nearly 1,500 spay-neuter surgeries for shelter animals and an additional 1,500 for owned pets each year, significantly contributing to community animal welfare.
