Our Story
In 1992, residents from Cooper, Hiawatha, Howe, and Longfellow united to enhance their neighborhoods. The Longfellow Community Council (LCC) was formed to spearhead the Neighborhood Revitalization Program (NRP), launching its first project in 1993 focused on home improvements. By 1996, the Minneapolis City Council approved a comprehensive action plan addressing housing, environment, transportation, community development, safety, and support for youth and families.
