Long Center for the Performing Arts

Our Story

The Long Center for the Performing Arts was established after the destruction of the Dryfus Theatre in 1914. The Mars Theatre, built in 1920, became a significant venue for vaudeville and later movies. In 1977, it was donated to the city by Mr. Irving Long and renamed to honor the Long family. Today, it serves as a community-based venue offering a variety of performances and events.
