The Long Beach Center for Economic Inclusion was established as part of the City of Long Beach’s Everyone In Initiative, addressing economic challenges faced by underserved communities, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. Focused on housing, entrepreneurship, workforce development, and economic resiliency, LBCEI is dedicated to creating inclusive opportunities for all.
LBCEI has mobilized resources to support small businesses and provide digital inclusion training. During the pandemic, it served over 1,500 households weekly through its food support network, addressing food insecurity and facilitating Kiva loans for local businesses.
