Our Story
The Lodi Volunteer Ambulance Rescue Squad has been a cornerstone of emergency medical services in Lodi, NJ, for over 55 years. Founded in 1962 by a group of dedicated individuals, the squad began with just 8 members and a single Oldsmobile ambulance. Over the decades, it has evolved to meet the community's needs, responding to significant emergencies such as the Napp Chemical Explosion and the tragic events of September 11. Today, the squad boasts 35 active members and operates three state-of-the-art Type 3 ambulances, along with a specialized fire rehab unit.
