Our Story

The Livonia Civic Chorus was founded in 1965, emerging from the disbandment of the St. Maurice Church choir. Passionate members sought to continue their love for choral music and partnered with the Livonia Department of Parks and Recreation to create a vibrant mixed singing group. This initiative led to the formation of the Livonia Civic Chorus, which now prepares for two major concerts each year and engages in various community outreach performances.

Impact

Since 1970, the Livonia Civic Chorus has awarded music scholarships to 97 students, significantly enriching the cultural fabric of Livonia through numerous concerts and outreach events.
