The Howell Opera House serves as the vibrant home of the Livingston Arts Council, a dedicated non-profit organization established in 1995. With a mission to foster the development and support of the arts in Livingston County, the LAC has been instrumental in revitalizing the community through quality arts and cultural programs. Since acquiring the Howell Opera House in 2000, the organization has successfully renovated its first floor and is actively working on restoring the upper levels.
