Our Story

Living Well Disability Services, originally founded as Dakota’s Children in 1972, has been a beacon of hope for individuals with disabilities and their families in West St. Paul. Established by dedicated parents, volunteers, and community partners, the organization has evolved to prioritize a person-centered approach, ensuring that every individual’s unique needs and aspirations are met. Over the past 50 years, Living Well has provided invaluable support to hundreds of people, operating 36 group homes and offering customized in-home services with a committed team of 500 staff and over 500 volunteers.
