Our Story

Founded in 1998 by Chad Pregracke, Living Lands & Waters is dedicated to the protection, preservation, and restoration of the natural environment of the nation's major rivers and their watersheds. Based in East Moline, Illinois, the organization actively engages communities through river cleanups, conservation initiatives, and educational workshops.

Impact

Since its inception, Living Lands & Waters has successfully removed over 13.5 million pounds of trash from rivers, engaged 134,770 volunteers, and planted over 2.1 million trees.
