Our Story
LiveSafe Resources has a rich history serving the citizens of Cobb, Cherokee, and Paulding counties since 1917. Originally chartered as the YWCA of Northwest Georgia, the organization has evolved through decades of service, from supporting soldiers during the World Wars to engaging in the Civil Rights movement. In 1978, it opened Georgia's first emergency shelter for domestic violence victims, and in 2007, it refocused entirely on domestic violence and sexual assault services, rebranding as LiveSafe Resources in 2017.
