Live Thrive Atlanta

Our Story

Live Thrive Atlanta is a nonprofit organization dedicated to fostering a community that prioritizes a healthy and sustainable environment. Established in 2010, it began as a blog advocating for sustainable practices and quickly evolved into a leader in waste management by launching Atlanta’s first household hazardous waste collection, successfully diverting over 75,000 pounds of waste.

Impact

In 2023, Live Thrive welcomed over 80,000 visitors to its Centers for Hard to Recycle Materials (CHaRM), recycling an impressive 5.7 million pounds of materials, including Styrofoam, chemicals, and glass, significantly enhancing environmental health in Metro Atlanta.
