Our Story

Founded in 2006, the Little Tokyo Historical Society is a dedicated all-volunteer organization that emerged from the vibrant Little Tokyo community. This collective of nonprofit organizations, business owners, activists, residents, and history enthusiasts is committed to documenting and preserving the rich history and heritage of Japanese Americans. Through archival collections, vintage photographs, and advocacy for historical designations, LTHS shares its findings via exhibits, publications, and community programs.
