Our Story

Founded in March 1948 by Carol Simpson and Liz Sills, the Little Theatre of Virginia Beach began as a community initiative in a small town that relied on Norfolk for cultural enrichment. With an enthusiastic turnout of 150 volunteers at the first meeting, LTVB has grown from its inaugural production of My Sister Eileen to a beloved institution in the heart of Virginia Beach. In 1972, LTVB found its home at 24th Street and Barberton Drive, where it continues to thrive.

Impact

The Little Theatre of Virginia Beach enriches the community with quality live theater, showcasing diverse local talent and celebrating the transformative power of the arts.
