Our Story

Founded in 1896 by Sara Curry, Little Missionary’s Day Nursery has been dedicated to providing essential childcare for working parents in the Lower East Side of New York City. Originally established to care for children left to roam the streets while their parents worked long hours in factories, the nursery has evolved over the years. Under the leadership of Eileen Johnson since 2001, it has expanded its programs and facilities, continuing its mission to support children and families through emotional education and community building.
