Little Manila Rising

Our Story

Little Manila Rising serves the South Stockton community, developing equitable solutions to the effects of historical marginalization and institutionalized racism. Founded in 2000, the organization focuses on preserving the last remaining buildings of the Little Manila historic site, which is home to the largest population of Filipinos outside of the Philippines.

Impact

LMR has successfully advocated for the preservation of the Little Manila historic site and launched community programs focused on health equity, environmental justice, and cultural history.
