LFP programs seek to build a cohesive conversation that places books culture and education at the center of all program development. In 1998 LFP launched Mosaic Literary Magazine which focused on the literary arts by people of African descent and is supplemented by lesson plans for high school educators. The magazine was followed in 2002 by the Mosaic Literary Conference. MLC provides a platform for literature-based creative thinking and knowledge sharing. One Book One Bronx launched in 2017 hosts public restorative conversations related to gentrification social justice women's empowerment criminal justice and racial inequality. LFP was also an organizer of the Bronx Book Fair.
