Our Story

Literacy Buffalo Niagara is the only provider of one-on-one tutoring for adults in Erie and Niagara counties. Formed through the merger of various literacy initiatives, this organization is dedicated to developing literacy skills by providing free tutoring through the engagement and training of diverse community volunteers.

Impact

In the 2023-2024 program year, 63% of students demonstrated improvement in their literacy skills, with volunteers contributing over 7,000 hours of instruction and support.
