Literacy Coalition of Colorado
EIN: 84-1436472 · Denver, CO
Our Story
The Literacy Coalition of Colorado began as a grassroots initiative in the 1980s, evolving from a community network in Jefferson County. In 1991, connections were forged with Literacy Volunteers of America, leading to a formal partnership in 1997. By 2003, the organization secured its own 501(c)(3) status as the Literacy Coalition of Jefferson County, and in 2008, it embraced a broader mission by becoming the Literacy Coalition of Colorado. This evolution reflects a commitment to enhancing adult literacy across the Front Range.
