Since its inception in 2018, LitArts RI has emerged as a vital hub for the literary community in Rhode Island, serving over 500 creatives. In 2023, the organization rebranded from What Cheer Writers Club to LitArts RI, reflecting its growth and commitment to the community it serves. Located in the Valley neighborhood of Providence, on the ancestral lands of the Narragansett Nation, LitArts RI is dedicated to supporting writers, poets, and illustrators through community events, affordable business services, and accessible creative workspaces.
