Our Story

The Lingohocken Fire Company, established in 1913, has a rich history of community service and volunteerism. Named after the Lenni Lenape term for 'pleasant land,' this organization was formed to provide local fire protection to Wrightstown Township, previously reliant on distant fire companies. Over the years, it has evolved, building its own firehouse with community support and expanding its services to include a Junior Firefighter Program, empowering youth to engage in firefighting and community service.

Impact on the Community

For over a century, the Lingohocken Fire Company has been a cornerstone of safety, providing essential fire and rescue services to Wrightstown, Upper Makefield, and Buckingham Townships. Generations of firefighters have been trained, and innovative safety programs, such as the high-tech Fire and Weather Safety Training Trailer, have educated thousands in fire safety and emergency preparedness.
