Our Story

Founded in 2019 by Linda and Marty Blackmon, Lincoln's Lodge was inspired by their son Lincoln, an energetic 8-year-old with Down Syndrome and Autism. Recognizing the immense challenges faced by caregivers, the Blackmons envisioned a supportive community that offers respite services, allowing caregivers to take essential breaks and recharge. By partnering with local organizations, Lincoln's Lodge aims to enhance the quality of life for caregivers and those they support throughout Austin.

Our Impact

According to the Centers for Disease Control, 29% of caregivers experience significant emotional and physical stress, with many reporting deteriorating health due to their caregiving responsibilities. As the number of caregivers rises, so does the need for respite services. Lincoln's Lodge is dedicated to alleviating this burden, ensuring caregivers can maintain their well-being while providing care for their loved ones.
