Our Story
The Lincoln Theatre, a historic landmark opened in 1928, stands as a testament to African-American and jazz history in the King-Lincoln District of Columbus, Ohio. Originally built to serve the African-American community during segregation, it became a vibrant hub for cultural expression and entertainment, showcasing jazz and vaudeville performances. After facing closure, the theatre was saved and renovated, reopening in 2009 as an urban performing arts and education center.
