In the early 1970s, local business leaders in Lincoln, Nebraska, recognized the urgent need for workplaces to support employees facing substance abuse issues. This vision led to the establishment of Lincoln EAP in 1974, dedicated to assisting companies in addressing personal challenges affecting employee performance. By 1982, Lincoln EAP transitioned into a self-incorporated nonprofit organization, rebranding as Continuum Employee Assistance-Training-Consulting to reflect its expanded services and geographic reach.
