Our Story

The Limbs for Life Foundation was founded in 1995 by prosthetist John A. Sabolich, who recognized the urgent need to assist amputees lacking insurance coverage for prosthetics. With a family legacy in prosthetic care since 1947, the foundation aims to create a global network of clinics and partners, providing thousands of new prosthetic limbs and redistributing used prosthetic parts across five continents.
