Our Story

In 1992, a passionate group of individuals in Lindale, Texas, united with a vision to create a library for their community. This dream materialized into reality when the Friends of the Lindale Library organized fundraisers and dedicated countless hours to establish a space for learning and growth. The library opened its doors in December 1993, initially offering a children's section and operating for just 20 hours a week. Over the years, the library expanded, moving to a larger facility in 2002, thanks to generous community donations and grants.
