Our Story

Founded in 2014, Lift to Rise emerged from a vision of collaboration among private and public sector leaders and community advocates. This organization addresses the root causes of inequities in the Coachella Valley by uplifting local narratives, building community strength, and instigating meaningful change. An elder's story during our early listening sessions inspired our name: "I came here. I work so hard in the fields every day because I believe that the Coachella Valley is a place where when the sun rises, it rises for everyone." This vision of hope and aspiration drives our mission.
