Our Story

Lifestyles for the Disabled was founded in 1994 through a collaboration of local families, community organizations, and businesses to support disabled adults in Staten Island. Starting with just four participants, the program has grown to serve over 400 individuals, providing essential skills and experiences.

By offering hands-on training in various industries, including housekeeping, horticulture, media content creation, and restaurant support, Lifestyles for the Disabled prepares developmentally challenged individuals for realistic work settings.
