Our Story
Lifestream Charities was founded to address the urgent needs of men, women, and children in the southern villages of Zimbabwe, where a lack of water has made it nearly impossible for families to grow food. Despite their hard work in preparing the soil and planting seeds, insufficient rainfall has led to crop failures, forcing these resilient communities to seek help for survival. For over 25 years, generous contributions have been used to purchase maize, providing life-sustaining meals during times of need.
Recognizing the need for sustainable solutions, Lifestream Charities has focused on bringing fresh water to these communities. While the Zimbabwean government has drilled boreholes for drinking water, these sources often lack the capacity to support irrigation. Inspired by successful projects in northern regions, Lifestream Charities has begun similar initiatives in the south, led by our dedicated project manager, Warren Scholtz. His unwavering commitment to the people of Zimbabwe has been instrumental in gaining local approvals and overseeing project execution.
