Our Story

Lidè Haiti was founded by Author Holiday Reinhorn, Actor Rainn Wilson, and Dr. Kathryn Adams as a response to the devastating 2010 earthquake in Haiti. Initially a short-term project, it quickly evolved into a year-round initiative aimed at empowering adolescent girls through the healing power of the arts. Since January 2014, Lidè has been working in the Artibonite region, specifically in Gonaives, to provide essential support and education to girls in need.

Impact

Participants in Lidè's programs are not only learning to read but are also receiving scholarships to pursue their education. Through arts programming, they build psychosocial resilience and self-confidence, while counseling and medical services improve their overall health. With thousands of meals served annually, Lidè addresses food scarcity, ensuring that girls receive vital nutrition.
