The Liberian Youth Orchestra (LYO) was launched on November 12, 2018, to address the urgent need for music education in Liberia. Inspired by the country's recovery from civil wars, LYO aims to empower children through string music education, spiritual mentorship, and the hope of the Gospel.
As the only String Program in Liberia, LYO fills the educational gaps left by years of conflict and crisis. By providing music education and mentorship, LYO encourages students to stay in school and develop essential leadership skills.
