Founded in 1974 by Nels Jorgensen with support from the National Endowment for the Arts, Lexington Ballet has been a cornerstone of the Lexington arts community. With a mission to present high-caliber productions and educate youth in ballet, the organization has grown to become a beloved fixture in downtown Lexington, especially after moving to its current studios at ArtsPlace in 1986.
